Their nasty gay landlord and next-door neighbour Mr Boordevol (Paul Kooij) is eager to have them all evicted so he can repossess the property. When the Home’s resident “crazy inventor,” The Engineer (Beppe Costa in a terrific performance), causes yet another explosion, Bourdevol drags them before the local magistrate, but is once again foiled. The charming Paul de Leeuw co-stars as the effeminate hairdresser (who has a special relationship with Boordevol).
