Starring Daniel Craig!Written and directed by Maybury in his debut feature film, Love Is the Devil explores the contradictions in Francis Bacon’s artistic and personal life, his intriguing and often disturbing relationship with Dyer, and the others who inhabit his destructive, claustrophobic world. Set in the 1960s and early 1970s, the drama charts Bacon and Dyer’s turbulent and dangerous relationship, from meeting to the tragic events which unfolded at the opening of Bacon’s triumphant retrospective at the Grand Palais in Paris.
